Sallyteach
Sri Lanka & India

Sallyteach Sri Lanka and India is an educational project whose mission it is to teach English to very poor children in Sri Lanka and India.

It is borne from years of Sally and her husband Paul travelling to these countries and seeing first hand that the key to future success and choices for these children is in knowing how to speak, read and write English.

English is the international language which will enable them to move upwardly in their society if they choose to do so.

Choices of educational facilities, universities, career training paths and future jobs will increase in direct proportion to their ability to speak and read and write in English.

Sallyteach Sri Lanka and India will provide hands-on teaching of English in their local schools with Sally and company teaching in selected local schools for up to 6 months per year.

During the other 6 months the programs will be run from Australia online with local parents and teachers employed to continue English programs that have been established and implemented by Sallyteach Sri Lanka and India.

To further the objectives of this educational program, an initiative will be set up with local government schools and teachers to train local teachers in English so as they can implement the program whilst Sally in in Australia continuing her private practise teaching children with learning difficulties.

All profits from Kashmere Sally will be directed towards the Educational project for very poor in these countries.

Over a five year period, it is proposed that a facility will be developed to enable teenagers from Australia to visit these schools and work with the young children of Sri Lanka and India to help teach them English in a meaningful way so the project is of benefit to all involved.

Thus Sallyteach SriLanka and India will become a global project where children from each of these countries will become friends and work together for their mutual benefit.
